A large group of wildebeest gather on the Serengeti plain during the annual Great Migration. More than 1 million wildebeest make an annual circular route through the Serengeti ecosystem in search of fresh pastures and water. Smaller numbers of Thompson's gazelles, zebra, and eland also take part in the annual migration.
