Arousing sentiments with architecture, one photographer’s personal view
-a photographic series by Karen Desjardin

“Architecture arouses sentiments in man. The architect’s task therefore, is to make those sentiments more precise."
-Adolf Loos

My task as the photographer for this series of images is to use those sentiments to create a personal view of contemporary architecture by zeroing in on the shapes, patterns, and details of great buildings and architectural projects that move me.

A selection of prints from this collection are currently on view at W Gallery, 115 9th St., Steamboat Springs, Colorado.

Several prints from this collection were part of a group exhibition at McNichols Building and Buell Theatre in Denver as part of the 2015 Month of Photography programs.

prints available for purchase

(more images to come as this is an ongoing series. )
